MILD GEEKDOM: last week i saw the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra live ✨and yes I laughed and cried my eyes out for many reasons - well, the whole audience did. It was a spectacular feeling. This game was my childhood for many, many years and the composer Yoko Shimomura (who was in ATTENDANCE XㅁX) was the first composer I became inspired by (aka. obsessed). 🔑 She builds such intricate worlds through music — her score can stand on its own and transport you to vivid, fantastical lands... After she jumped on the piano for a final encore (Hikari + Final Boss Battle Medley), she invited her dearest Tetsuya Nomura on stage - the creator of Kingdom Hearts (and many final fantasy characters)!! Got another sneak peak of KH3 gameplay, but they've been teasing us for literally 10 years. Stop playin games with our HEARTS, Nomura 💔😩 But ah, this meant so much to me. I am just so happy this series and such talented, imaginative humans exist.
grandpa wearing those original clubmasters 👓 assume he's playing some chill folk tunes. 🎤 I've been visiting him every day this week and just confirmed: this was the late 50's in Holland (after leaving Indonesia during the war), and a few years before immigrating to USA where he worked hard to become an engineering specialist at Aerospace 🚀 pictured at around 17 years old.
grandma shared this photo of her looking so fab from 1973 🌟 (Sun Moon Lake, Taiwan) hoping to visit the country someday in the near future 🌿

Had so much fun performing music and sharing the stage with these amazing comedians last week for the @mixedremixed Storytellers Prize Ceremony - which went to David Oyelowo (Selma) 🙌🌟 Thank you x 1 million to @mixedremixed, friends, and family for coming out to celebrate. This festival was my first live show in LA 3 years ago and now it's my third time performing here! I can't thank you enough founder and organizers Heidi Durrow, Rayme Cornell, Team MixedRemixed and the volunteers for putting in such hard work each year to bring everyone together.
